Wedding Photography at Dovecote Barn, Adderbury
Anne and Gareth’s wedding definitely wins the award for most last minute booking, just 4 days before the wedding day! But it also had all the ingredients to be deemed one of the most fairy tale weddings I have been wedding photographer at thanks to Dovecote Barn being a picture perfect English stone barn and Anne’s wedding dress having an elegant 3m long lace-covered trail.

Anne in her incredible wedding dress. As a wedding photographer, I have seen a lot of weddings dresses, but none quite like this! Stunning!

One of my favourite moments of the day occurred during our newlywed photo shoot as we walked around the grounds of Dovecote Barn. Gareth grabbed Anne’s hand and they started practicing the first dance routine! This is one of the reasons why I love being a wedding photographer. I get to witness so many private, special moments between the bride and groom, with my job being to capture these intimately, but in an unobtrusive way. You want to be able to be yourself, and that’s why I think it is so important to get on well with your wedding photographer.

What a photogenic couple!
As a wedding photographer, I always look out for the details that could otherwise be forgotten in time

The beautiful couple
I get excited by weird things as a wedding photographer, such as the lamp in the background of this photo. As soon as I spotted it, I knew it would complete the photo!
The speeches were extremely moving, and left Anne with tears rolling down her face. There are the images that I feel are the most important from the day. It might not be flattering, it might not be the one that you print out and put on your wall, but it will remind you of the emotion you experienced.
Capturing emotional moments like this, as a tear rolls down Anne’s face, are what make being a wedding photographer most rewarding

Anne and Gareth, due to your late booking you are the first couple I have ever been wedding photographer for and not met before the day, but it was an absolute delight! Best of luck with your future together!
